About the event
Peter Minson is a Te Tai Tokerau musician whose career prepared him for a life as a people-focused entertainer.
Peter’s musical life has come full circle, with his early years in the Christ Church Cathedral choir, immersed in worship aged 8-14. Folk music, rock’n’roll, and gospel followed and his guitars and mandolins were never far away.
Contemporary church music was a big part of his second career as a minister. Now retired in Northland, Peter has returned to a busy life singing jazz with the Basin City Big Band, as well as entertaining residents at local rest homes, and regular music at his local church - another Christ Church - this one at Kororāreka Russell.
Peter will bring a midwinter repertoire and a guitars, a mandolin (and probably a dog) to the Sanctuary Concert Series
