About Us

St Stephen’s is a progressive Anglican Community who believe that we are all children of God. People of all gender identities, sexual orientations, races, cultures, and abilities are invited to fully participate in worship and ministry.

 

Our mission and our passion is practicing Radical Hospitality as Christ did.

 

We believe that Te Tiriti o Waitangi is the foundation for true justice and peace in Aotearoa. We strive to honour Te Tiriti and build community to community relationships, especially between Tangata Whenua and Tangata Tiriti.

 

In addition to the worship and regular community activities listed, we provide pastoral visiting, home communion, baptisms and house blessings if requested.

 

We also are equipped to host Weddings and Funerals. Our building is accessible to wheelchair and mobility aid users, and we are pet friendly (Dog is God spelled backwards).
